Thankfully not! However, I however, I do love Wisteria! I have always wanted a Wisteria vine. Tonight I found one at the Asian market! Its fabulous, and while tiny now, will grow quickly.
Now I have to figure out where to plant it so that it can flourish, but not cause damage to the house...
Mine is a little baby vine, this is a lovely full-grown work of art....

Prepped For Fall!
I had to make the most of the first weekend of fall! The weather FINALLY cooled off (YAY!) a bit, so a trip to the pumpkin patch on Saturday morning was pleasant and almost-crisp. My home is ready (actually I was quite surprised during a run that afternoon that it is the ONLY home on my street with pumpkins...hhhhmmmm). The pumpkins will get a second life after Thanksgiving. I'll cook the small ones (the small yellow and the blue and white ones) and make either bread/muffins or soup (love pumpkin soup!) and Edgar will give the large ones to his family for their horses (I'm told the horses LOVE them).
So, not only contributing to the fiscal life of family-owned pumpkin patch, but also recyling and repurposing pumpkins!

this cow spoke and asked for a bottle, Edgar was willing to oblige!
Ready for fall!

French Press
I love coffee or Café, as I enthusiastically refer to it! Starbucks and Peets are my favorites. I buy about 2 pounds a week, and blend regular and decaf together cuz I'm not so much about the caffiene (except in the morning). The bolder the blend the tastier it is. yum!

While in Paris, I bought a silver Bodum French press (yes, I know that these are sold in the US!! I see them in Starbucks everyday! However, it just seemed like I should buy one in PARIS!!). I broke the glass beaker and have been very sad. I saw this red one and thought it was adorable. The best part is that the beaker is interchangeable. Now I can have my French pressed café again!

It was delicious!

Memorial Day
gggrr! I wrote one of those 'blogs in advance' to have it post bright and early yesterday morning, but obviously something went terribly wrong! No posting and no honoring of our veterans and those in the armed forces today. Well, it is never too late to honor them and express a huge 'thank you' for our freedom.

Domino Magazine - Found
So many of us are very saddened at the closure of the home style and design magazine, Domino. It's last issue was in March 2009. Well, I thought I had missed out on the issue. Today at lunch I walked across the street to Home Depot to purchase Polyurethane for my final step to to the beautiful chocolate color bathroom cabinets I have painted. Just by chance I looked at the magazine, and there it was DOMINO! There were about 4 copies left, so maybe Home Depot has extra copies!

Stylish Art
I recently discovered this site, www.etsy.com, through another blog, Habitually Chic. It features handmade collectibles and items of all sorts. Today I was browsing through the Art section, looking for Mother's Day gifts for my wonderful mother and 2 favorite aunts, and I happened to see this picture. It is entitled Newsprint Bunny. It seemed rather appropriate since I am trying to get into the writing mode and of course the bunny itself is rather unique in appearance. I'm designing my office space at home, which coincidentally is also the room where my 3 very chic fashionable house rabbits live and play, so I placed my order. Can't wait for it to arrive.
