Black, White and Lavendar Tribute!

Last night while looking through my emails and catching up, I saw this picture:

The colors, grey , white, touch of black, with lavendar undertones just said "Wooley" to me. A lavendar bunny?  He had big blue eyes and very Nordic skin coloring, so that's where the lavendar comes in.

Believe me, I was in no mood for shopping, but when I saw these colors, I knew I had to have it as a tribute to him and a 'feel good happy' gift to me.  As strange as it sounds, it just made me smile! If there were two things Wooley liked to do in his prime years, it was shop and dine out.  Whenever I took him to Nordstrom if meeting a friend there for lunch, or just picking up a little something, sales ladies would come over from other departments to coo over him.  And he loved every moment of it! 

The dining thing is a whole other post, but lets just say that he has dined in some of the best restaurants AND has been served (carrots, assorted veggies) WITHOUT my having to ask (I always tried to be discrete that he was even there!).

I had to visit Target at lunch time today to look for a cord to connect my laptop to my little HP photo printer.  Couldn't help but notice the adorable hats and gloves! And an adorable piece of fabric!

$71dollars later I was finished!  What?!  $20 phone cord, $20 fabric (a curtain actually), gorilla glue (projects!), curtain hanger thingys, $16 for a topper for my downstairs bathroom that I believe will match the fabric I bought in Los Angeles a couple of months ago, AND it has adorable dangly fringe.  Pictures if it does! Whew!  Under $100!  not bad for Target, right?!

Happy Fall!

Fall is my ultimate favorite time of year. I have a sense of renewal and clarity for the home, self and wardrobe. Possibilities seem so endless in the fall. My fall rituals include decorating the outside of my home the last weekend of September and buying pumpkins from a local patch. {It's still very hot where I live (which I hate!), so sometimes the pumpkins aren't available until October}. Fall is also my favorite time to shop for fashions; fall fashions, the magazines, blogs, advertisement just seem more inspiring in the fall.

My little ones were all born in the fall as well, which makes them even more special to me. Wooley, my 'baby' was born October 1, almost 12-years ago this October! My rescue bunny, Madelaine, has unknown birth date, so I've given her the date of December 1, and rounding out my 'family', my almost-1-year-old baby Lionhead, Lyonn, was born November 2, 2008.

My fiancé and I are contemplating a Fall wedding, but that may have to wait until NEXT Fall (something to look forward to!).

I love this look, and am going to try replicate it this weekend. I have a cashmere hoodie, just need the shunken blazer, which screams "investment piece"... *sigh*....

Little Black Boho Dress

As you can see, I'm renovating my blog. So I lost widgets, pictures, ggggrrr.
Might be nice to actually see the dress, right? I actually love photography, but I'm just learning...I guess you have to start somewhere...








I'm in love with this dress found in a little boutique in La Jolla, Ca. It can be worn so many ways, of course I had to wear it to the office, so I added pearls. I just ordered a Tori Spelling necklace which would look great with it too, and then there are the J Crew necklaces... It has embroidery all the way around the dress, which is amazing to me for the cost of the dress. Love the puffy sleeves. I would have worn sky-high heels, but instead wore kitten heal sandals because I've been nursing a severely bruised toe for 3 weeks...(I'm having a real crisis about the heel thing...) The bag is from PARIS! A little shop that made bags next to the hotel that I stayed in...aaaahhhh seems like yesterday....
